Napoleon’s Red Cross

In a history class (If I recall) or perhaps a history book, I remember that Napoleon, before his death pointed towards a red cross he had drawn over Britain and remarked in anger, “If it wasn’t for that red cross, I would have ruled the world.”

I was thinking (yes, I do think sometimes), Satan could have made a similar statement about Calvary,”If it wasn’t for that red cross, I would have ruled the world.”

Thank God for Jesus’ shed blood on Calvary’s cross!

Hog Beats Ford! Warning Heeded!

I pastored at church in West Texas. It was a good church, but limited on funds. After purchasing equipment and having been trained by a church member, I started trapping. Ahhhh, money for missions! My trainer warned me about being chased by angry steers and to watch out for mountain lions and poisonous snakes. However, he never mentioned anything about Hogs, those wild Havalina or wild partial breeds. As I ran my traps, I would often see distant herds of twenty to forty massive hogs accompanied by their little piglets. Continue reading Hog Beats Ford! Warning Heeded!
