I don’t owe nuttin, honey.

Archaeologists found (dated in early new testament times) repeatedly on papyrus tax receipts the Greek word tetelestai which is the precise equivalent to the old English rubber stamp, Received Payment. This is exactly the word Jesus used…at the time of His death which again is tetelestai. It is often translated in the Bible as “it is finished” (John 19:30). I wonder if those who watched Jesus die and heard his last words or watched his lips move would also understand the meaning, “It is paid, paid in full, account settled, payment complete or debt settled”. Jesus, the Redeemer of mankind has settle our account by paying the price of redemption. Have you excepted His gift of salvation? I have, and I don’t owe nuttin.
